Getting value for your money.

Thank you for the opportunity of having me assist you with your numismatic evaluation.

A note on Silver (AR) & Gold (AV) “spot” bullion values: These values change almost every minute depending on market conditions worldwide. For your evaluation I utilized the price showing in New York at 0800 hours Tuesday June 7th 2022. Therefore, the price reflected for your bullion can easily be less or more than what is quoted here when you liquidate. Furthermore, the person or company purchasing your bullion will usually pay a percentage under spot price bullion value and sell for a percentage over and possibly charge additional premium. There are many places willing to buy, so get at least 3 offers over the phone, online or in person before selling. Where you have a circulated bullion coin (called Junk silver) worth more than its catalog or retail value then I provide the bullion value.

Coins worth more for numismatic value than bullion value are reflected by the catalogue retail value. I utilize the current year’s Red Book for U.S. Coin Values and the most current Krause, Mishler Standard World Coin Catalogs 1600-200 for most World coins. Otherwise, other publications, Numismatic auction results and specialized guides. Most dealers will offer 30-60% of retail. This depends on many factors, especially the desirability of the coin. Some may disagree with my grades. I am not a professional grader, it is an art more than a science and I recommend the appropriate 3rd party grading services for high value coins I think are potentially over $400 for U.S. or world coinage and paper money or ancient medieval coinage.

I can assist and provide consultation with the distribution of your collection and have bought, brokered and sold collections of hundreds of thousands of dollars over the past decade. Please contact me if you have further inquiries.

Thank you again,

Rod.
